Haven’t seen that yet but I love the series. The classic and the new. Definitely my style.

If you dig cooperative tabletop games, two of my favorites are Pandemic and Castle Panic. I suppose Munchkin can be paid cooperatively.. But you never quite know who to trust there! ;o)

No official raid schedule yet but we should definitely talk about hosting select channels. First, we’ll start with our official Twitch Stream Team (see private board, team) then our favorite non-GANG streamers like Obezianka, IAmDreamWing, Dwergje, and JanelNo5.

It will be much easier to host than to coordinate raids so I recommend our busy streamers to host streams when they are offline. It adds value to your channel, provides variety to your audience, and supports our fellow streamers. A REAL win-win-win scenario!

I’m dealing with some Internet issues. The 100-foot CAT5e cable I had going from the router to my man cave had a short (hence the inconsistent Internet issues) and finally died. Don’t really have the budget to spare but can’t deal with wireless. I am getting around 3-5MB up/down. Terribad!

That said, I’ll be hosting lots of streams while I am not really able to stream for the next couple of days. I should be back up by Thursday. Amazon Prime OP!

Any channels you want us to host on GeekyAntics, guys?

Glad to have you join us, BFT!

Most of us like a variety of games as well. Fighting games are something I want to get back into myself. I have Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 hiding somewhere and of course the obligatory Street Fighter IV, both on XBox 360. Gonna definitely stream more Skullgirls on the PC.

FFIV I keep hearing a lot about. You should check out our friends at the Cat & Fox podcast. BTW, we have tons of other podcasts so be sure to check out Podcasts page and tell us what you think! Pixelated Pints is one of the latest ones to join us.

Game on.. And see you Thursday for our big live show night! We start 5:30pm at AllGames.com and then continue at 9pm at Channel GeekyAntics. Now that we can host other streams, GamingDeath will be there every Thursday GUARANTEED – w00t!

Another thing I would like to add to the discussion is this: KD ratio is not the end-all, be-all metric to go by.. Not even KDA. If you are not taking objectives and working as a team, no individual performance is enough to carry everyone. Some MOBAs may allow for hard carries but it’s not typical.

Furthermore, having a nice KDA does not justify being a know-it-all or employing caustic glibness. Elitism is a great way to hurt a community and ruin an otherwise great game, folks. ;o)

    Well-met!

So Magic 2014 is on the table.. We’re gonna follow suit with our old “Rewards UNLOCKED!” model.. The more we drive participation on giveaways, the more giveaways we’ll have.. We’ll also throw in additional prizes and/or winners to the pot. Spread the word, gang! <3

Points would be neat but the inherent value should be made clear: streamers grow their audiences and viewers get to find channels that they can truly enjoy. For many die-hard Twitch viewers, it’s exciting to be a part of a channel’s growth and feel like you had part in pioneering that. It’s bragging rights.. makes you feel proud! =oD

Word Stan. We’ve had many a discussion about quality over quantity.. On the flip side, it’s important for each contributor on the network to find a comfort level with what they feel is an MVP (Minimal Viable Product). I know in the past the perfectionist in me slowed progress down. It’s amazing how many barriers we create for ourselves when we feel that everything has to be perfect.

When it comes to podcasting, there are certainly minimal standards of quality. For example, the audio levels must be balanced, background noise minimal, and structure present. My vision for the network is to have a wide variety of content to suit all tastes. Everyone is free to follow their own preferences and visions, but we are here to provide guidance and resources. 8)

    Ratty!

Glad to have you here bro. I’ve mentioned Clan NoF on HorsePLAY! LIVE a few times. Basically, we took the same core principles and expanded them to GANG.. And here we are – w00t!

Don’t jump – don’t do it! (referencing your avatar LOL)

+10 for figuring out the edit profile feature. =oD

The clock is ticking on the Steam Summer Sale & Bonus Adventure. Now’s a good time to stock up on games for yourself or for our ongoing Steam gift exchange. If anyone wants to trade cards, hit me up on Steam: Yogizilla.

I have TONS of dupes for three or four of the Steam Summer Adventure cards but I am missing 7 still. Time to get on the grind, y0!

I will try to snag a few copies of Payday 2 since it seems like one of the popular games y’all are asking for. Those games on the featured items are the ones you want to play to get the card drops, BTW. 8)

Congrats to our latest giveaway winners, MaidenShyWhiteWolf and FearTheJeff for winning our giveaway during HorsePLAY! LIVE. Maiden actually won and gave her game to Jeff, which is awesome. It’s inspiring to see such generosity!

More giveaways coming soon. In the meantime, check out our new page dedicated to giveaways. It shows all the active giveaways:

Bring some friends. The more people participate, the more we will do them. Obviously, we do these giveaways because we want to generate more buzz and keep the traffic coming. In an ideal world, we’d do them all the time but we’re not there.. Yet.

That said, we do have a nice stockpile of games to give away on Steam so we will be sure to set up some fun events and new ways for you to WIN with Geeky Antics Network Global!

    GAME ON!!

    Good thinking.

That will certainly be for a 3.0 or 4.0 iteration of the site. These forums readily integrate with our achievements so keeping it as-is for now. Not very sexy but they are functional.

I feel that forums are at the bottom of the to-do list since it’s really hard to get people to consistently contribute to them since there are so many forums out there. The easiest opportunity is encouraging more comments.. With anonymous commenting, people can comment freely without registering or anything. That excites me.. Less friction means less excuses! ;o)

Hey, I think I know this guy.. The name sounds strangely familiar. Wait, are you the guy on the cream of wheat box, Stan?? =oP

    Haha.. Just kidding!

So, I am debating on whether to allow all HTML. People could abuse that. May have to tie that into user levels cause, you know, we’ll end up attracting MLM and peddlers of crap. The link spam is OP! =oX

Welcome to the party bro.. Officially. 8)
