#DoctorWho RECAP: Timey Wimey Tea Time Episode 7: Mouth Garbage and Mid Season Review

Doctor, who?!

In Episode TWTT 7, we talk about racism, mouth garbage, robots, the mid season review and more. We noticed the mention of racism cooled down the retweets big time. Can you say, false consciousness? [grin]

As always, we gladly shared some of the comments you left on YouTube for TWTT Episode 6, we played new submissions for the #SoftKitty song contest and, heck yes, we went deep.

There is a small chance that we’ll have to skip the 18th and 25th. Yomar will be at Walker Stalker con on the 18th and Stan may be traveling on the 25th. We’ll let you know on the 11th.

Tune in Saturday, October 11th at 12 noon ET for an interactive, live chat experience of TWTT Episode 8 on http://www.twitch.tv/geekyantics or http://www.allgames.com.

October 11th. 12 noon for New York City, Washington, D.C. and Miami, 9am for the U.S. West Coast, 4pm in Madrid, 5pm for London and 7pm, Bucharest.

Is the Doctor a good man? What comes out of his mouth would suggest he is not a good man. Way too much mouth garbage going…

Does a man’s mouth represent the content of his character?

What would MLK, Jr. say? What does the bible say about it?

Clara and Courtney become heroes (heroines) in Kill the Moon. But Clara is pretty shaken by the experience. She didn’t like bearing the responsibility of doing the right thing. Not to mention that all of humanity let her down.

But that’s getting ahead of this podcast episode – a podcast where Stan and Yomar explore the problem of mouth garbage.

The Timey Wimey Tea Time Episode 7 Recap

This episode Yomar Lopez and Stan Faryna talk about racism, mouth garbage and the mid season review.

Yomar and Stan were both disappointed by The Caretaker episode. The antagonist was dumb- despite the intimidating, promotional pictures in the teasers. The doctor was dumber. Mouth garbage dripped from his mouth.

For a quick, introduction to the Doctor and Series 8, check out the TWTT Episode 3 Recap, here. Per requests made on YouTube, pics of Yomar and Stan are in the Episode 5 Recap. You might even catch a glimpse of Yomar in the YouTube videos for Episode 6.

Comment, luv, etc.

Yomar Lopez and Stan Faryna share some of the love and inspiration the Timey Wimey Tea Time podcast is getting on YouTube and elsewhere. Here’s a few of the comments we talked about on the podcast.

Youtube: Roseanne Rachel writes:

Doctor Who is supposed to show us the world that’s possible with courage, endurance and intelligence, not reflect all the worst parts of our own – bigotry, racism and navel-gazing.

Youtube: Lorenzo Talens writes:

Ser un héroe no es fácil. Ser un héroe es superación de miedos, dolor y el ego arruinado.

Translation: Being a hero is not easy. A hero makes sacrifice, suffers and denies himself.

Youtube: Luis Ramirez writes:

Translation: Have you noticed that the threats to the world are solved too easily? The villains are not impressive. The Doctor did not put much effort in solving problems. The doctor does not suffer. He is never injured. It’s like a walk in the park. Where is the tension?

Youtube: Kayley G. writes:

I like what Yomar said. “The prospect of not being listened to or not being accepted… that hurts.”

Youtube: Desi Ques writes:

Usted es libre de dejar que sus hijos crezcan para ser monstruos que aman el pecado y el mundo, pero voy a hacer todo lo posible para levantar la mía en la gloria y la belleza de Dios. No más de Doctor Who para mis hijos.

Translation: You are free to let you children grow up to be monsters who love sin and the world, but I will do what I can to raise mine in the glory and beauty of God. No more Doctor Who for my children.

Poetry, Quotes, etc.

Things to ponder.

Angry Words

a hymn by Horatio Palmer

Angry words! O let them never,

From the tongue unbridled slip,

May the heart’s best impulse ever,

Check them ere they soil the lip.

Love is much too pure and holy,

Friendship is too sacred far,

For a moment’s reckless folly,

Thus to desolate and mar.

Angry words are lightly spoken,

Bitterest thoughts are rashly stirred,

Brightest links of life are broken,

By a single angry word.

Jesus said:

For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush.

The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.

Luke 6:44-45
