Best Ever Doctor Who Podcast: Timey-Wimey Tea Time Ep. 4 with @yogizilla @faryna

Doctor, who?!

In Episode TWTT 4, we gave a nod to the humor but struggle to find a deeper idea in Doctor Who Episode 3, Robot of Sherwood. We gladly shared some of the comments you left on YouTube for TWTT Episode 3, then played awesome submissions for the #SoftKitty song contest. Oh, heck yes, we got a beat down from the new software as we attempted to stream to

Tune in Saturday, September 20th at noon ET (Saturday, September 13) for a friendly live chat experience of TWTT Ep. 5 on or

September 20th. Noon. That’s 9am for the U.S. West Coast, 5pm for London and 7pm, Bucharest.

Is the Doctor afraid or dangerous? Heroic of foolish? Infantile or fatherly? Geriatric or noob? Or all of the above?

Who is the Doctor?

The 12th Doctor does not provide us with convincing answer. Like Clara, we know who the Doctor was. Like Clara we do not know who the Doctor will be? Perhaps, the Doctor needs to dream. Or dream, bigger.

Timey-Wimey Tea Time Recap

This episode Yomar Lopez and Stan Faryna continue to contemplate the identity of the Doctor (and lack of identity). Yomar really enjoyed Doctor Who Episode 3, Robot of Sherwood but Stan continues to question Steven Moffet’s vision for a Series 8 Doctor. For a quick, introduction to the Doctor and Series 8, check out the TWTT Episode 3 Recap, here.

Yogi got the Beats by Dre Geeky Stan - OMG Face

Is the Series 8 story a good one?

Is the Doctor a good man?

What does HBO’s TV series, The Leftovers, have to do with the BBC’s Doctor Who?

So many questions surround the Doctor – as they should.

Comment, luv, etc.

Yomar Lopez and Stan Faryna share some of the love the Timey Wimey Tea Time podcast is getting on YouTube and elsewhere.

Nicholas White writes:

Episodio 3 es el mejor episodio de timey wimey tea time  y me gustaría decirles por qué. Usted le dio una explicación reflexiva del Doctor, Serie 8 y el Episodio 2, Into the Dalek. Honestamente, yo había visto el into the Dalek la semana pasada y no me gustó tanto. Pero entonces vi el episodio de nuevo después de su podcast y me gustó mucho el episodio. Gracias, Yomar y Stan.

Carol Carol asks:

What is a good father?

Yomar goes deep. Stan shoots from the hip:

A good father instructs his children in goodness, truth and virtue. He gives them an inheritance which overflows with life, love, and self-discipline. What do you think makes a father, good?

Katja Tromler writes:

My mother was an alcoholic. My father beat me because he was frustrated by her drinking. Doctor Who took me away from hell. The Doctor showed me that I can be something more than a monster. I didn’t have to grow up and be a drunk. I didn’t have to grow up with anger and hurt the people I love. I could be better. Years later, I would be born again. Jesus saved me. But I don’t forget the Doctor getting me through childhood.

God bless you, Katja.

Yomar disagrees that it’s a failure, but he understands where Supermix is coming from. Stan agrees completely.

Stan finds the perfect words for Clara. The words that the 12th Doctor should of said to reassure her. He reads Oxford Professor Henry Scott Holland’s 1910 sermon on Death:

Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was.

I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.

Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity.

What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just round the corner.

All is well.

Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before…

Yomar shares some prose on the Doctor. Stan shares the eulogy made by Mapleton Police Chief Kevin Garvey in HBO’s tv show, The Left Overs. Standing above the corpse of Patti, the former leader of the Guilty Remnant who committed suicide to entangle him in scandal, confusion and madness, Chief Garvey reluctantly reads from the book of Job at the insistence of Eccleston. In the passage, Job speaks of God in the face of losing all joy – his children are dead, his wealth is gone and his friends mock him in his despair.

But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him.

When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him.

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

My feet have closely followed his steps; I have kept to his way without turning aside.

I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.

But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? He does whatever he pleases.

He carries out his decree against me, and many such plans he still has in store.

That is why I am terrified before him; when I think of all this, I fear him.

God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me. Yet I am not silenced by the darkness, by the thick darkness that covers my face.
